The Polar Plunge is the only annual fundraiser to support the local Special Olympics New Hanover County Program. Participants supported this cause by plunging into the chilly Atlantic Ocean, running the 5k or walking the 1 mile fun walk. 100% of the proceeds went directly to the program.
Carolina Garrison members were on hand to help bring smiles to everyone before and after the main polar plunge event. We even invaded a Girl Scout cookie table.
