On Saturday, October 24, two members of the Garrison attending a special birthday party appearance. As you all know, we normally don’t do birthday parties. The family having the party found out about the 501st and what we do. They wanted to teach their son about helping your local community and helping others. The father told us if we appeared he would donate $1,000 to Make-A-Wish. And rather than gifts, he asked birthday attendees to donate as well. In the end, the final tally collected for Make-A-Wish was $1,255.00. That’s so incredible. Michael Beaupre (TS-16660) and Chris Gould (TB-11110) suited up and jumped on Imperial transports from Hoth & Endor to journey to the Columbia, SC spaceport to attend this event. On the way, Michael picked up a 20″ Kylo Ren figure and Chris brought the young birthday boy a custom-cast Biker Scout blaster. So very generous of our troopers to put in that extra effort.
