I was a member of the 501st Golden Gate Garrison back from 2000 to 2002, then took about a 20 year break in service and rejoined the 501st through the Carolinas Garrison. I have been doing costumes and prop making for about 25 years now. I started and ran several online fan clubs such as the 99th Dragon Slayers (a Space: Above and Beyond Fan club), SG-Command (a Stargate Costuming and Propping fan community), Sci-Fi Hero (a Stargate, BSG, Trek, Star Wars, etc.. Costuming and Propping fan community). I run a small Props and Costuming online store called Alchemy Arms. My “day job” is as a Senior Compensation Consultant for Wake Forest Baptist-Atrium Health. I live in the Greensboro, NC area with my wife and son.
