Is this even happening? Nothing on the checkers schedule?
All I can tell you is that they sent the request through LFL. I contacted the organizer and told them it was posted. I can reach out again to verify
Just heard back from the Checkers. They were waiting to hear from us to promote to make sure that we were able to attend. They will add it to the schedule and begin promoting now that they know we are coming.

Hey Hey!!! I was asked to bring my 2 SW vehicles to the game and park out front the entrance!! I noticed that there wasn’t anything posted on their site as well until Oct 31st. See you all there!!
Oh cool! I just sent ya a PM with some questions @sithmom as this is the first I’m hearing of this. Looking forward to seeing them at the event!

Hi Eric – good to meet you and thanks for reaching out.
Yes – we’ve been working on some game day logistics for you all. Here’s a quick rundown:
Game starts at 4 pm and we would like for you all to be ready to greet fans when doors open at 3. Arrival time can be up to you based on that – can really be as early as you’d like.
We will have a dressing area set up for you in the hospitality room at Ovens Auditorium, which is adjacent to Bojangles Coliseum. The buildings are connected so no need to worry about exit/re-entry or weather. To enter, park in the main lot of the coliseum (free to public, no pass required) and enter the connector building via the bridge from the lot.
The game will end at approximately 6:15, but we would need you all to vacate the dressing area no later than 6:30 to account for a show at Ovens later that evening. So, it would be OK for you to leave during the third period before the game has concluded.
Please let me know if you have any questions beyond that for right now.

1. Safety Measures: Last year, we encountered some challenges with rowdy audience members. Will the Checkers staff be available to help us navigate the crowds safely and avoid similar issues this year?
2. Access to Water: We’d like to confirm if water will be available for our members in the changing area. Staying hydrated is important to us, especially given the nature of our costumes.
3. Meet-up Location and Entry: We had some difficulties last year when security was unsure about allowing us into the venue. Could you please confirm who we should meet outside Ovens Auditorium to guide us through security and to the changing area?

Hi Eric, sure thing:
1. Apologies for this – I had not heard about that last season. I assume those would have happened in the main concourse area? We do have several security members stationed throughout the building in yellow jackets (ShowPros) – I will give their leadership a heads up about this for Saturday and see if they can assign someone to a particular area or areas where you had problems (again, please let me know of any specifics there).
2. Yes, we will have water and soda set up in your hospitality area.
3. Please let me know when the first of you are planning to arrive and I will meet you at the entrance to the connector building from the main lot. I’ve attached a map that might be helpful – I think last season we had different people arriving at different times and different locations other than the one designated prior to game day. I assume we’ll have people trickling in leading up to game time and I won’t be able to meet everyone when they walk in, but I’ll be sure that security personnel at that particular entrance knows to allow them in and tell them where to go.
One piece of feedback I received from our security team. Those of you with weapon props will be allowed in, just please be in mind that there will be additional screening there. They also asked that you not allow fans to hold the weapons if possible. I’ll be sure the security team is aware of that and could potentially help you through some situations there.

I’m sending off the list this morning (after I add Daniel’s Wife).
As a recap, even though the game doesn’t start till 4:00pm, they’d like us to be ready and greeting people when doors open at 3:00.
**So please arrive around 2pm.**
Game ends at 6:15pm and we must be out of the changing area no later than 6:30pm so they can set up for a different show.
Also, we’ve been asked by security to not allow fans to hold weapons for pictures.
I’ll be there by 130pm to set up my vehicles out front next to their Mascot car. Would be great to get a group pic with everyone. See y’all tomorrow…
Something’s come up that I need to take care of so unfortunately will not be able to attend today’s event. Sorry I won’t be able to make it but hope you all have fun.
