Plan to bring my Jawbrey with me. We LOVE Bricks & Minifigs stores!!
I’m happy to be the POC for this event….
Been in contact with Pranav and he is super excited to have us. Huge 501st fan and says it is a “dream come true” to have us supporting the event. He is confirming the changing area and space for us, as well as the time frame for us to be in costume and “trooping”. He stated: “If you, or other close members want to come and see the Holy Grail item up-close, before dressing up the next day and having to see crowds, let me know and it would be a pleasure to add you to the list to see it personally, as a thank you for attending the Grand Opening.” I asked what times he could accommodate or be open for that on Friday, 12/20 for the private viewing…if anyone is interested.
Update:
As of now, the plan is to arrive at 10:00 AM and then work to get into costume at your leisure.
Explained to Pranav we could troop for couple of hours and then would probably be done, but that is up to each of the individual 501st member if they want to hang out any longer and have the energy to do so. :)
There is event space next door for us to use as a changing area. This has now been confirmed and has bathrooms, a lounge style area, and some mirrors, it’ll easily accommodate 5, and can hold up to 15 from what I understand.
Parking wise, there are two garages that provide free parking on weekends, one is at Moore Square, about a 3 min walk, or the other is on the back end of our property called Salisbury St. Street parking is additionally free all weekend as well.
If anyone desires to have the private viewing, he could open it up at 5:00 PM on the Friday before…but I responded that we would most likely be just fine with our appearance on Saturday and are always happy to have the opportunity to get into costume. :)
