SUMMARY:Carolina Garrison Christmas Party at Carowinds Winterfest
DESCRIPTION:This year, the Carolina Garrison has decided to have a Christmas Garrison Celebration at Carowinds Winterfest at the NC/SC border.  This is the only theme park in the US to cover 2 states!

We choose Carowinds as it's centrally located, has multiple forms of entertainment from an amazing display of Christmas lights, shows, music, food, and (according to my wife the most important thing) roller coasters!

Save the date for Saturday, November 25, 2023.  This will run from park open to close that day, which is 5 PM to 10 PM.  I believe the parking lot opens at 4:30, so we can all park and then met up at the front and make our way in.

This is a family friendly event, and members are encouraged to bring their families and/or kids.  

This party is open meaning if you choose to go off with your family and do your own thing, that isn't an issue.  We don't have to stay in one big group.  This is just a fun way we can all get together and have some fun, maybe get a huge group photo in our Carolina Hockey Jerseys or Racing Shirts (if it's not too cold), but at the same time, experience the park in a way that pleases you.

Tickets will be able to be purchased, for this event, directly from Carowinds at the front gates.  However, I recommend getting tickets a head of time, online.

If you need to stay the night, lodging is great since this is Charlotte.  There are many options.

They do usually have Winterfest packages.  Check the above links to confirm.  
There are also multiple other hotels, VRBOs, and campgrounds near by.  We're staying at the KOA about 10 minutes down the road and that runs about $150/night for a 6 person cabin.

I'll add more info here as questions or thoughts come up.  Just wanted everyone to be able to get a room if needed and mark off their calendar as it's exactly 100 days from the event at the time I'm posting this.
