Tired of stuffy galas with rubber chicken, weak cocktails, and polite golf claps? So are we. That’s why Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC said to hell with the banquet circuit and launched FOOD HALL INVASION—an interstellar, star-crashing, chef-slinging spectacle that blew the starch out of the nonprofit universe.

And this year… we’re going bigger. We’re going weirder.
We’re going full-blown hyperspace chaos.

SEPTEMBER 14. A date that will go down in history as the moment hunger met its match—and the sci-fi multiverse met its culinary reckoning. Picture it: Local chefs in a no-holds-barred cook-off against alien invaders. Glowing lightsabers. Galactic gastronomy. Synthwave beats. Retro neon. Forks flying. And yes—guests screaming “this is the best fundraiser I’ve ever been to” while dodging rogue droids and downing cocktails from the  Cantina.

Last year, over 400 guests descended upon the mothership and helped us raise $125,000 to obliterate hunger across 18 counties. News outlets from Raleigh to Charlotte nearly short-circuited:
“SECOND HARVEST SHOCKS THE NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY WITH AN OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD FUNDRAISER TO END HUNGER.”

So what now?

We want you, the 501st Legion, to join us.
We need troopers. We need Sith. We need smugglers, rebels, and Jedi who don’t play by the rules. We need cosplay crusaders who know that charity doesn’t have to be boring.

Suit up. Show out. Let’s storm this fundraiser and show the galaxy how the Force really fights hunger.

This isn’t a black-tie affair. This is a full-blown intergalactic uprising with snacks.
