We are happy to pass along open invitation requests from Alamo DraftHouse theaters inviting costumed fans to appear in their lobbies on May 22- 24. These appearances are in support of The Mandalorian and Grogu. These are approved by Lucasfilm. The contact information and details for the events are listed below. Please feel free to share this broadly with your clubs!

Directly below is what we send to requestors regarding Open Invites for Fan Group participation at events:

OPEN INVITES mean that we do not have to cast and teams do not have to pay performers. events must welcome all fan groups on a first come basis and cannot ask for specific characters or specific amounts. They can set a maximum limit based on accommodations. Open Invites are just that: an invitation to fan groups to show up at an event in costume. Events cannot direct fan group members to do any activities or be anywhere specific at any specific time - they may provide the groups with a list of activities to self-organize and participate in, but it is at fan group members’ own discretion. Characters should not hold, wear, sit in or stand on any branded item or logo, especially with a brand emblem. The fan groups are welcome to be photographed with others wearing the team logo/brands or in front of signage featuring the team logo/brand, however. We strongly suggest that events provide a handler/security for costumed fans during activities to ensure the safety and security of said costumed fans, to protect them from overzealous attendees. Costumed fan groups must be referred to as members from their respective fan groups, and not as official SW/Disney/Lucasfilm characters.

Please note that if you or your club members require a handler or handlers at the event, you must provide them yourself and not rely on handlers from other clubs to fulfill this responsibility.

 Please do not RSVP with LFL. The event contact is listed in the attached documents if you and your members are interested. Spots fill up fast - not all fan groups will get to participate in events where there is a set limit, which are based on an event's bandwidth for accommodation.

Alamo Drafthouse Theater Appearances

Please see the attached document for a list of theaters and the points of contact. When reaching out to RSVP, make sure to indicate which theater you plan to appear at. All appearances are subject to each theater's guidelines. Appearances are approved for theater lobbies only and should not be advertised prior to the event.

Note:  There are 5 spots total across all clubs.  We get 2, RL 2, MM 1.  If they aren't utilized, we could get their spots.
