SUMMARY:Acme Comics: Free Comic Book Day Block Party
DESCRIPTION:City of Greensboro will be closing sections of Elm St downtown to vehicle traffic on the first weekend of each month to encourage foot traffic and support local businesses. We've partnered with businesses in the Hamburger Square area to participate in and program these "First Saturdays."

Our current plan is to host FCBD downtown as a Free Comic Book Day Block Party. Neighboring businesses will offer FCBD-related events at their locations, such as Breakfast with Spidey and Friends at Chandler's, an Acme History Retrospective at Little Brother Brewing (the original Acme Comics location), and food and drink specials at Natty Greene's and Grey's Tavern. We're also planning our largest vendor market to date, aiming for 40 vendors in the Beer Garden at Natty's, extending onto Elm St, organized in collaboration with Design Archives.

We aim to attract as many cosplayers as possible to enhance the downtown experience and engage attendees with characters and fellow fans. Chandler's will host kid-focused activities in their "Kid-Zone" area.
