SUMMARY:A Galaxy Of Hope
DESCRIPTION: “A Galaxy Of Hope” is an annual Star Wars-themed awareness campaign and fundraiser for the Outer Banks Community Foundation, which distributes funds to numerous local charities through our “Halloween Island Fund” which is managed by the OBCF. We will also be using the event as a Food Drive to benefit the local food pantry to feed the needy in our community. If we are granted a character appearance, we will our restaurant’s social media channels to invite guests to bring canned goods to the restaurant, with each donation serving as a “ticket” for a personal “meet & greet” and photo op with the 501st member(s) in attendance. We will also have several donation buckets set out for anyone who wishes to make a cash donation to the Outer Banks Community Foundation.
Referred by:  I’ve been a vehement Star Wars fanatic since seeing the first film on opening night on May 25, 1977 (I was there!), and as such, I’ve partnered with the 501st on numerous events over the past several years.
