DESCRIPTION:In an effort to promote tourism and goodwill in our small town, our local Merchants Association is putting together a Star Wars themed celebration. Businesses will be decorating their storefronts with Star Wars themes, there will be a costume contest, face painting, food trucks, an interactive Star Wars themed scavenger hunt/LARP for the kids, lightsaber battles, and much more. The crowning achievement would be to secure enough costumed performers to support an "Imperial March" through our downtown business district.
Referred by:  I'm an longtime Star Wars fan, and I also build and install custom lightsabers, so I've been on the periphery of the Star Wars cosplay scene for quite a while now. I was recently elected as mayor here in our small town, and since then, I've become known as the town's resident Star Wars nerd. When the Downtown Merchants came to me with this idea, I thought that the 501st would be a perfect fit!
